Our 2-day EQUUS coaching workshop provides a safe and playful learning environment where you can learn about yourself and experiment with effective ways to make things happen in your life. EXPLORE. EXPAND.
You may know a lot about horses or be a bit nervous around them. All exercises are done from the ground, with gentle horses. You’ll learn to read their feedback and practice new ways of inspiring cooperation in other beings of every species. AWARENESS.
EQUUS coaching invites you to become extremely specific in communicating your vision. Our workshop is designed to help you step outside of your own and others’ fears so you can lead from a place of power and peace. Every ‘mistake’ made in the round pen becomes a source of neutral feedback and self-compassion which is the birthplace of innovation and growth. CLARITY.
You’ll go home with a customized practice to implement in your life and work. PRACTICE.
MEET THE HERD
BETH HERMAN- Host Coach
Is a leader in higher education advancement, a talent management consultant and trainer, and an equestrian who has always cared too much and tried too hard.
“I approached my first Equus Coaching experience with high excitement, a busy mind, and an urge to prove my value and show how much I know. In the first 30 minutes, I saw how much I had to learn—about quieting my verbal mind, about staying present in order to read others’ subtle cues, and about inviting other beings to cooperate with ease, play, and flow. My executive and personal coaching practice naturally attracts hard strivers and high achievers who can rest and learn with me and my equine partners. Clients see themselves in a whole new light when they step into a round pen with a horse. There’s an easier way to make big things happen in life and at work.”
Beth is certified by Martha Beck, Inc; Sounding Board Ink; and Koelle Simpson LLC. She is a founding coach with the P.Link Coaching Center for Excellence.

KELLY EIDE- Workshop Leader
Is a master equus coach and strategic business advisor to individuals and organizations across diverse sectors such as real estate, healthcare, hospitality and energy. Kelly joins us from her base in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Kelly believes that you connect with your own true nature by connecting with nature and she uses natural horsemanship and the core routines of natural awareness to help business leaders’ practice how they lead. Kelly shares a visceral experience of leadership combined with easy to use practices that you can implement in your life. For individuals, this leadership experience informs every relationship they have as well as their approach to communication and creative problem-solving. For groups, the experience helps to build a culture of trust as well as confident, agile teams where there is a leader in every chair.
“This weekend is about exploration and expansion. Release limitations you thought were real. Find the lessons in the roadblocks that keep you stuck. Be who you want to be and everything you authentically are in all your relationships. All sentient beings on this planet have wisdom if we can only figure out how to listen. I invite you to explore their feedback.”
Kelly’s leadership development work with horses has been featured on the BBC Middle East Business Report as well as UAE Daily The National.
DIXIE ST. JOHN- Equus Coach
Dixie St. John is a certified Martha Beck Master Coach and a Koelle Simpson trained equus coach who will also be supporting your weekend journey. With a background in thanatology (death and dying), Dixie has extensive experience with grief and end-of-life support. Her passion is helping her clients embrace, navigate, and grow through life’s “in-between” places.
“My equus work has shown me how to be profoundly present – both with myself and my fellow human beings. Where I once looked to the details of my circumstances to define and explain my life experience, through the mirroring feedback of horses, I’ve learned to turn inward toward the source of all experience: my thoughts. From this place, I am able to truly lead my life with authenticity, clarity and purpose.”

WHAT OUR CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY
Whether you are unfamiliar with horses or a seasoned pro, the combination of a skilled coach and a gentle giant never fails to provide challenge and insight. Equus Coaching has become a cornerstone of my own personal development strategy as well as a resource I use with my individual and corporate clients.
A day with the horses brings powerful glimpses of how your thought patterns and energy affect everything and everyone around you. The horses beautifully reflect what a person brings into the round pen—which is, of course, what they take everywhere.
But without a skilled coach’s gentle guidance, you might be left wondering, “So what?” and “Now what?” An Equus Coach helps you apply new insights to become a better version of yourself.
Each coach is unique, and personal fit is key. Beth shares a unique combination of business acumen, horsemanship, knowledge of how adults learn, and strong, gentle coaching skills that facilitate brilliant personal growth. The insights gathered on the farm pay dividends for months afterward at the office and at home.
